NOTICE: The list for the 'Do Not Knock' registry for 2025 has expired. If you had signed up previously, you have received an email with a link to our new form for 2026. You MUST re-register to be added to the 'Do Not Knock' registry for 2026.


It is a solicitor's responsibility to ensure they have the most up-to-date list when visiting residences in Patton Township. It is recommended to access the list at the start of the business day to ensure it has been updated from any days prior. Thank you, and please contact with any questions. IMPORTANT! PLEASE NOTE: Any new registrants to the No Knock List will be included by the end of the business day (4:30 PM) on the day of their registry. If a registrant signs up after 4:30 PM EST on a weekday, or over the weekend, they will be added promptly on the next business day. The list will specify the last date the list was updated at the top and includes dates/times each registrant has signed up. The only exception to this would be if those updating the list staff is out of office, in which case it will be updated upon return.


Also note: You do NOT have to sign up more than once in one calendar year, and only one person from each household/address needs to register to be added. REPORTING: 
To report a for-profit business that has solicited your residence when you are an active member of the Do Not Knock registry, please immediately call the Patton Township Police Non-Emergency phone line at 1-800-479-0050. This way, our officers will receive notice, and can follow up with the correct parties in a timely fashion. 


Patton Township Residents May Now Sign-up for Our “Do Not Knock” Registry

Patton Township provides residents with the opportunity to sign-up for the “Do Not Knock” registry. The purpose of the registry is to protect the health, safety, welfare, and privacy of township residents. As a resident of Patton Township, you can choose to prohibit solicitors or peddlers from visiting your home during their door-to-door sales. The list is valid for one calendar year, at which time you will be required to re-apply if you wish to continue enrollment. 

Information collected for inclusion on this registry, including your name and address, is subject to public inspection pursuant to the Pennsylvania Public Records Act. Any person may acquire a current copy of the “Do Not Knock” registry subject to payment of duplication costs.   

A list of addresses in Patton Township which have been added to the registry will be provided to each solicitor and/or peddler who possesses a valid solicitation permit issued by the township.

The “Do Not Knock” registry is designed to prohibit for-profit salespeople from knocking at your door. Groups such as the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, local schools, sports organizations, and individuals advocating charitable, religious, civic, and political causes are exempt from having to follow the “Do Not Knock” registry. 

Solicitation in Patton Township

Patton Township requires solicitors within the township to apply for a solicitation permit. When soliciting door to door, the vendor must have a valid permit with them.  The “Do Not Knock” registry should not replace common and reasonable measures to prevent unwanted solicitation and peddling, such as posting “No Solicitation” signs.
  • When registering for this service, you waive any claims or causes of action against the Township, its elected officials, employees, or agents, arising out of the implementation or management of the “Do Not Knock” registry.
  • The Township does not warrant, guarantee, or promise that peddlers or solicitors will comply with the “Do Not Knock” registry, or that residents will be free from undesirable peddling and solicitation activities.
