Patton Township Planning Commission

The Patton Township Planning Commission consists of seven Township residents appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The Commission reviews and makes recommendations to the Board for all proposed development, changes in zoning districts and regulations and extensions of water and sewer service areas. The Commission also studies and makes recommendations on the road network, stormwater management, sign and lighting regulations and other issues relating to land use. The basis for the Planning Commission's study and recommendations is the Centre Region Comprehensive Plan, a plan recommended by the planning commissions in College, Harris, Halfmoon, Ferguson and Patton Townships and State College Borough and adopted by the elected board (or council) in those municipalities.

The Planning Commission holds a regular meeting the first Monday of each month and a work session the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Township Building meeting room. Meetings may be delayed by one week because of the PSU Spring Break, Independence Day and the Labor Day holiday.

Agendas and Minutes are available the Friday before the scheduled meeting.
