Patton Township Storm Water Management
Patton Township maintains a network of facilities including, swales, catchbasins, culverts and storm water ponds that are part of it's municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4), the extent of which is shown on the map below. This MS4 is part of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) that was enacted with the Clean Water Act (CWA) in 1972. The Township storm sewer network is permitted through the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) for 5 year terms. In order to comply with the Permit the Township must adhere to certain Minimum Control Measures as identified in the permit. The most recent permit is 2020 - 2025.
